There have been so many highlights and challenges through out 2017. Moments which I will carry with me forever. I thought I'd take the time now to talk a bit about those stand-out moments, mainly a reminder to myself of the beautiful memories I have made and how far I have come this year.
I loved it so much, I did it all over again with the stunning Lana Austin. I loved this shoot because it really gave me the chance to create something super dramatic, edgy and grungy! I'm not always the fairy princess that people seem to think I am!
I couldn't talk about the highlights of this year without mentioning my blog and YouTube Channel. They hold such a precious place in my heart because for the first time I feel like I'm actually being heard. One of my biggest struggles has always been expressing myself. Creatively, yes, but what I'm really talking about here is expressing my own views and opinions. Those that know me, will know I am a complete people pleaser! Through the platform of YouTube and blogging, I finally feel free and comfortable enough to tell people exactly what I think! Not only that but people are really listening too me! I have never felt so in control of my future and I love it! Through all the turbulence and commotion, I have clarity. A direction for the new year which I can focus my energy on. Although I feel like I have learnt so much already, I have comfort in what 2018 will bring to help me to continue to find my way.
Travelling is one of my favourite things to do! Literally, anywhere! I'm open minded and this year I really tried to take advantage of that a little bit. Of course, Ian and myself visited London a few times because its like a creative hub for me. Everytime we go I get so excited and as soon as we leave I start planning the next trip!
I also finally got to revisit Paris with a couple of my university friends! France has always been a big part of my life, so finally getting the chance to go back after all these years was so much fun! I couldn't have picked a better pair of ladies to go with either! I think we laughed the entire time!
My favourite trip this year was when Ian and I visited Brighton. Again, its somewhere I have been before but I've been dying to revisit. The whole vibe of the place is so relaxed and creative. I felt right at home! One of the things about this trip that made me laugh the most was how used to bloggers the people were. Everywhere you looked there was photoshoot after photoshoot. So when it came to us shooting for my blog, I felt so comfortable in my surroundings! I think that's something you can really see in the images as well. I felt like I completely let myself go and enjoyed the process.
Me and my family also had the opportunity to visit The Harry Potter Studio Tour this year. To say I was beyond excited is definitely an understatement. I absolutely love Harry Potter! Its not often we get to spend quality time together as a family, so this moment for me was something really special.
Alongside numerous trips and days out, I also spent so much time with those friends I love and care about. I'm so used to being focussed on my work that this year I tried to make more time for the people that are really important too me. There are so many great memories and too many fabulous photographs, so here is a selection of just a handful of them!
So many people have influenced what a fabulous year 2017 has been and I am so excited to go into 2018 with all the love and support I've had this year! I love every, single one of you! Thank you so much for everything and here's to an even more fabulous 2018!
